What does E-coating mean?
+

E-coating, also known as electro-coating or electro deposition, is a method that uses electrical current to deposit an organic lacquer onto a metal surface. This process ensures that every crevice of the jewellery is covered with a consistent and protective coating. The coating not only protects the sterling silver but also maintains a more subdued, warm tone, allowing the natural beauty of the silver to shine through without risk of damage.

Ordering

Is there a minimum order requirement?

Yes, as a wholesaler, we require a minimum order of $200 CAD before taxes and shipping for both online and in-store purchases.

When will my order be shipped?
+

We typically ship orders within 1-2 business days after they have been placed and payment has been processed. You will also receive an email with a tracking number once your order has been dispatched. To expediate your order, please call us at 1-800-668-4422, additional charges may apply.

What if the product I ordered is on backorder?

We will create a backorder for you with the out of stock products in your order. Once we receive the items, you will receive the products and be invoiced for those products at that time. For more information, please visit our backorder policy page.

What if an item is out of stock?

If an item is out of stock, you can choose to backorder it directly from the item page. Upon placing a backorder, we will send you a confirmation email. Please note that we will not invoice you until the items are restocked and dispatched to you.

How can I get notified when an out of stock product is restocked?

Yes, the prices listed on our website are the current wholesale rates. We offer competitive prices for jewellery. Please be aware that occasionally the website may display outdated information, so we recommend calling us at 1-800-668-4422 to confirm product pricing.

No, to verify whether your account is active, please login and it will tell you whether your email address is associated with any accounts.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept most major credit cards, including Mastercard , Visa, Debit Mastercard, Debit Visa & AMEX. Additionally, we accept e-transfers and mailed cheques (for the clients with approved credit terms). For US Clients, we do accept Zelle Payments.

Vermeil

What is Vermeil?
+

Vermeil refers to a specific type of gold plating. To qualify as vermeil, a piece of jewellery must meet certain criteria: it must use sterling silver as the base metal, the gold used must be at least 10k, and the gold layer must be at least 1 micrometre thick, as required by the Government of Canada.

What's the difference between Plated and Vermeil?

Vermeil and gold-plated jewellery differ primarily in their base metal and thickness specifications. Both require the gold to be at least 10k and have a minimum thickness of 1 micrometre. However, gold-plated items can use any type of metal as the base. At House of Jewellery, since we deal only with precious metals, all our gold-plated products meet the vermeil standard. We ensure a minimum of 2.5 microns of 14k gold on all our jewellery to enhance durability.

Showroom Visit

Am I allowed to enter your showroom?

Yes. Access to our showroom is available to customers with an approved and active wholesale account. If you are not yet registered, please complete your application online for approval prior to visiting.

Can I visit your showroom for the first time without an appointment?

No. All first-time visits require a confirmed appointment. Please contact us at [email protected] to schedule your visit. Once your account is approved and your initial visit is completed, future visits may not require an appointment.

Do I need to bring anything for my first visit?

Yes. Please bring a valid business registration document along with your business card and a Valid ID for verification upon arrival.
